Way back in 1873 the Hawthorns was built to attract a Doctor to the Village of Drymen by the Duke of Montrose, over the last 120 years this was the home of four successive Doctors and this Auld Doctors Hoose was still occupied by a general practitioner up until 1993, the Hawthorns has since been extensively restored to a superior high quality bed and breakfast.
All rooms have been superbly decorated to a high standard, included in the bedrooms is en-suite facilities, colour TV’s and tea and coffee making facilities, all rooms have thoughtfully designed to make your stay as comfortable as possible
